Tip-off leads to arrest

A PHONE call tip-off to Crime Stoppers led to police arresting and charging a 22-year-old Cranbourne man with armed robbery.

Police arrested the man last week and charged him with armed robbery, attempted armed robbery and assault.

He appeared at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court and was remanded in custody until 26 May.

Police are still looking a second male involved in an armed robbery that occurred on 25 January in High Street, Glen Waverley.

Police allege two men went into a BP service station and lit a Molotov cocktail before they demanded money about 3.05am.

The man police are looking for is described as caucasian, in his early twenties, wore a grey jumper with a dark hood, khaki coloured knee length pants and light coloured shoes.
