CRANBOURNE Secondary College held its annual swimming carnival in Doveton last Thursday, with Poole fittingly taking out the title of best house.

Activities were not just restricted to swimming as outside volleyball, basketball, tug of war and best dressed competitions were held for those not keen on getting wet.

Sports Co-ordinator Kate Faulkner said it was a great day with the Year 7s proving to be the most competitive.

Year 7 student Elizabeth Peach was a standout competitor and will race in the Districts this week alongside fellow students Michael Hookey and Laura Cross.

The teachers also joined in the competitive spirit and won both male and female relay events against the students.

Ms Faulkner said there was a much better turn out compared to previous years.

“It was fantastic, we had about 200 extra students this year,” said Ms Faulkner.
