Woman’s scream stops burglar

A MAN who broke into a Berwick house was stopped in his tracks by the homeowner.

Police said the man broke into the Scanlon Street home on Sunday 28 February at 3.40am through a window.

The homeowner’s dog alerted the residents, who were asleep at the time of the incident.

Police said the woman, 48, screamed at the intruder, which made him run away.
