CASEY’S local AFL team, Melbourne, will be pitted against West Coast in the final round of the NAB Cup Challenge matches at Casey Fields in Cranbourne this Saturday.

Melbourne will be without defender Daniel Bell, Cale Morton and possibly high-flyer Liam Jurrah as they prepare for a long stint on the sidelines.

Nevertheless, the Demons will be looking to put on a show for the Casey Fields crowd and notch up their first win of the pre-season.

“We expect a crowd in the vicinity of 10,000, considering we have a lot of interest in Melbourne, given the No. 1 draft pick Tom Scully is a local,” said mayor Lorraine Wreford.

The match will be ideal for the Dees who will play their first pre-season home match after spending most of this month on the road.

The game kicks off at 2pm with entry free for 2010 members, $10 for adults and $5 for under 15s.

The Casey Scorpions will play seniors and reserves practice games as curtain raisers, with the reserves starting at 9am, the seniors at 11.20am.
