POLICE are hunting for a man who robbed a woman at knifepoint in a shopping centre toilet last year.

On Friday 3 July a woman entered a cubicle in the female toilets at Delahey Village Shopping Centre, placing her handbag on the floor.

Shortly afterwards a man forced open the cubicle door and threatened the woman with a knife.

Police believe the man had been lying in wait in the next toilet.

The man stole his victim’s handbag and escaped, running towards the south entrance of the shopping centre.

Detectives have released images of a man they believe may have information on the attack.

The man is described as being caucasian, with a thin build and a goatee.

He was wearing a black hooded top and a beanie at the time of the incident.

Anyone with any information on the man’s whereabouts is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or visit www.crimestoppers.com.au.
